I'm looking for something interesting to do in Uijeongbu this weekend.

I've been to the Doctor Fish Cafe.
I've been to the Movies.
I've been to the area near Homeplus.

Is there *anything* else interesting?

Any museums? Palaces? Temples? I need it to be accessable by bus or subway.

Thanks!

There's a subway to Seoul, you can check that out.

I live up in Pocheon. I have two dogs, and I hate to leave them alone for more than half a day. Going to Seoul takes so much energy and time (2hours) that by the time I'm there I don't want to turn around and come back.

Cracker! What kind of dogs have you got? I have a wee one that needs some canine company, we live in Yang Ju. I'm pretty sure there's nothing to do in UJ, I've been here three years and have tried to solve the quandry but it's unsolvable. Where the Dr Fish there, though? I didn't know it was up this far.

Tobongsan mountain is near Uijeombu. A nice Makoli market on the way up. It's quite a climb but worth it when you get to the summit.

The doctorfish cafe is across the street from the Burger King (Near the subway-station). It's on the second floor, brown-ish colored. From what I saw, on the outside it looks like a normal cafe, and doesn't say anything about doctor fish.

uh... why the sarcasm?

There's only one burger king near Uijeongbu station, and if you ask for directions to the burger king, and then stand out front looking across the street you'll see a brown cafe on the second floor...

How is that not helpful? (particularly when there arent any street signs?)

read a book, write a song, call your mother, go for a walk, make some plans, meet an adjuma on the street who looks like like a mutated version of the female apes on the movie "The Planet of the Apes" and tell her....tangshinun kajang arumdaun yoja imnida. Go in front of a large crowd of people and start jumping around like a raving lunatic. Go to a restaurant and find the oldest, most distinguished gentleman and grab the soju out of his hands, take a huge gulp, slam it down on the table and say...mashisayo, mani to chusayo... and wait for him to buy you another bottle. Then, sit down next to him and take off your socks and stick your feet in his face and tell him to massage them or you'll kick his ass. Sorry my Korean isn't that good to translate.

So you see, my simple fellow humanoid, there is sooooo much to do. Just use your imagination or ask to borrow mine.
