What's the deal with the financial record? Just a bank statement is needed? Has anyone ever been turned down due to not having enough assets? Or will proof of chunsae suffice in lieu of not enough liquid assets?
And what about not being employed as of yet? My wife and I just arrived last week and neither of us have a job lined up, but have just secured the apartment, where we were planning to run a gongbubang with students that she had previously taught before. Not sure how all this amounts to anything or a lot, to immigration.
Cheers for any advice. |

Doesn't need to be liquid assets. Just needs to be there in total, so bring along proof of chunsae. |

I dont know if my input is of any assistance but here we go. I got married in Korea to a Korean earlier this year, I had been working for a hagwon for almost 2 years at that point. The document that Immi was most interested in was the one stating that I was employed (rather than any financial statement) and would continue to support both myself and my wife. They were not interested in how much money we had (at the time not much at all).
So I am guessing that proof of your appartment deposit should be enough. Good luck. |

| When I first applied for an F-2-1 my Korean wife showed the housing contract and her work certificate which showed that she was working. I didn't have a job at the time. |
