|
|
I am cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving this week.
I didnt think it all the way through though, and I dont really have a suitable pan to cook the turkey in and save the juice for the gravy. The one I have I would have to drain constantly.
If anyone has a pan that they would either sell (reasonably) or let me borrow ( i would pay you, you would pay me back upon return) it would be appreciated.
I would sweeten the deal with a plate of the fine turkey, and piece of pumpkin pie upon return.
Let me Know.
I live in HBC and would only want to meet in Itaewon sometime before 2 on SUnday, I need to start cooking by 3 on sunday. |

| I think you should try a department store, supermarket, even some of those dollar stores have a range of household products (obviously not for just 1,000 won though). |

I needed a baking pan a few weeks ago. Lotte Mart had nothing suitable. Koreans don't bake much (or get baked for that matter).
There is a place near the Cheonggyechon in Seoul that has some baking supplies stores. They have pans, ingredients and other things.
Directions on foot, I don't want to give a subway station, I'm not sure which one is best:
Do you Daehangno, the big street in Hyewha? The Hyehwa station's exits are on Daehangno. Well if you travel from Hyehwa to Jongno/Chenonggyechon on Daehangno (you'd have to do this by foot as it's one way b/t Hyewha and Jongno), you'll come to the Cheongyechon. Pass over the stream and look to your right. You'll some an entrance to the area, there is an arch over it. Wander though there and you'll see some baking supply shops. Coming from the Cheonggyechon, one is down a small street on the right, near a bakery.
To recap: Travel from Hyehwa to the Cheonggyechon on Daehangno. Look for the arches on the other side of the Cheonggyechon. There is a closer subway exit, like Jongno 5-ga, if you are going to take the subway. |

One of my students dads is US Army.
I asked, he said yes, at the school in 30 minutes. It was like freaking dominos man.
Anyway, I cooked the turkey on Sunday, but it was a broil oven. It cooked really fast, but there was no juice. Had to buy the gravy packets in itaewon.
However, the store in itaewon had turkeys fro sale too.
15 pounder was like 60 000.
If you are hard up enough with no other options........ |

A few years back I found a type of pan used at a buffet. It is deep with a drainer about 1/2 inch off the the bottom. I fit a huge turkey breast in it. How big is your turkey? Maybe this will work.
You can have it for 10,000 won. Come pick it up. PM for directions.
