I'm new to planning multi-destinatin trips, but is it common practice for airlines to allow passengers to lengthen their layovers to their desired stay? I have a layover of 10 hours but I want say 10 days? I'd assume they charge a small fee? Thank! |

I booked a 3 day layover in Australia many years ago with no problems.
Things may have changed now though.
Probably many factors involved, like what the airline policies are, whether its the same airline in and out, if theres any domestic flights involved.
Best to talk to your travel agent about it. |

Cathay Pacific will give you up to 1 month with no problems. I took a 10 day layover this summer. |
