Sure, as credit (and jobs!) become more scarce and hard to come by in America, Americans will not continue buying all this stuff. This is going to slow the whole world down who is dependent on outsourcing American companies and consumers. The Korean economy got wealthy and is dependent on extracting wealth from the American economy through exports. This process we commonly call, "the global economy," can't keep pace and will cease at some point as America is running thin on money, credit, and jobs that produce raw physical wealth generating production. We have to be producing something like the Koreans and Chinese do in order to have the wealth to continue buying foreign goods or any for that matter. |
