|
|
Hi, I'm leaving korea on friday. I don't have an onward ticket leaving thailand so I was wondering if they will give me any trouble at Incheon airport?
I've been planning to just dress nice and take the small risk but now i'm thinking maybe I should just get a visa, although I don't think I have enough time now. How long does it take to get the visa here? And how much is it?
Thanks,
Jon |

You get a stamp at the Thai airport they don't give visas. It would be best if you decided where you were going now and bought your ticket out of Thailand before you leave, or you can just tell them that you will be heading up into Vietnam and hope for the best. |

I think that the price here is 40,000. I got two here before.
They say it takes 3 working days. But last time they weren't busy and they did mine in a day.
If you don't have an onward ticket out within 30 days, it would be a good idea to get the visa.
If you don't have the visa and no onward ticket out, the staff in Korea may not let you on the airplane. There will be no problem with Thai immigration, the only problem will be with the check in counter at Incheon airport. The check in staff are instructed to not let people (non-asian) board who don't have visa or onward ticket in 30 days. It is to protect there own .. in case you were not allowed into Thailand. But in Bangkok, it is no problem. Immigration there won't check you at all unless you have 50 previous entries into Thailand. |

Your other option would be to decide where you are going to go and buy an air-asia ticket online for Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia (no Laos, don't think) Make it within 30 days of your arrival. Arrival day counts as 1, so you really only get 29 days. |
