Hey Dave's ESL People,
Waygugin Parade is a brand new English-speaking sketch comedy/long form improvisational troupe in Seoul.
If you are interested in joining, e-mail [email protected]. We take all kinds. Those new to the format are welcome to come and watch a rehearsal anytime. We meet Tuesdays from 8-10pm near Dongdaemun Stadium.
If you're interested in simply attending our future shows, you can join us at:

See you there!

Cool. There is already one other troupe in town, called Seoul City Improv. Thursday and Sunday nights.
Improv is fun. |

Yeah, they're really good. But we are interested in perfecting the art of WRITTEN sketch comedy in addition to LONG FORM improv, which Seoul City only performs short form comedy. Besides, isn't this town big enough for the two of us?
On top of experimenting with different forms, their practices start too late for daytime teachers and run too late for people who live on the West side of Seoul. Ours are an early 8-10 for public school teachers.
West side!
Enjoy a sampling of our awesome written comedy:
T-Money: What is up in mah Seoul! Yeah!
I got mah kimchi fermentin in a tall glass vase
Gonna smash that cabbage right in ya fat face
Red pickled pepper hot in ya grill can't stop
Reminiscing I was kissin ya mom- she's mad hot.

When does the comedy bit of it kick in then? |

In the punchline, obviously. Which is the surprise ending. But you shouldn't reveal a punchline before people, I don't know, say something nice. |

Wah, it's hard to express situational comedy over yon internets... ya done made me feel bad. I'm sticking with the "general discussion" post I put up... less original writing to make fun of.
Have a nice weekend, all. |

I'll join, but only if I get to wear a bald wig and slap my forehead repeatedly.
