I've been in Korea couple of months and my tourist visa is set to expire soon. I need a bit more time though, I'd like to go on a quick overseas trip and come back for another month or so on another tourist visa, then leave entirely. I imagine this might set some alarm bells ringing with Korean immigration when you come back the 2nd time, any advice or experience with this?

Tourist visa or tourist visa waiver stamp? Where are you from?

It usually doesn't wave a flag if you have friends / family here (especially if you have an exit ticket (even a 1 year open return)). Lots of people have done it without much more than a quick look.
