Hi Guys,

So I have 4 days booked off this month, October 20th and 21st and the weekend before.

So why question is... Reccomendations for the nicest place to see the beauty of Korean Autumn at its best?

I love mountains, forests, parks and basically want to experience a place that really stands out. Has anyone got any good advice for particular Autumn shining places?

I have been to Seorak before and I know it will be beautiful there but also stupidly busy, which puts me off. I am tempted by Gyangju and Busan but I dont know whether these places boast the 'peak' autumn experience.

Any advice would be great!
Thanks in advance

I did a Gyeongju/Sognisan trip 2 years ago at that same time, it was perfect. There was nobody down there, they were probably all in Seorak, and the weather was gorgeous. Gyeongju has the Bulguksa temple and some mountains to hike, small ones, but nice. There is a huge lake and trails to ride bikes, jog, or motorbike. Then on the way back we stopped at Sogni Mountain and went hiking. The leaves were red, orange, and gold at that time and it was really, really quiet there. Think we got the train down to Gyeongju, then the bus to Sogni and back to Seoul

Problem with Gyeongju is, that unless you are with someone who knows the area, it takes forever to get anywhere.
