just wondering... a coworker has told me that it's "korean law" that even we as lowly english teachers are entitled to 15 days vacation instead of 10 in our second year of teaching in kland... i'm negotiating my new (2nd year) contract next week and just want to know if i have a leg to stand on with this? .. can anyone point me in the direction of an "official" website that i can use to add this to my new contract... i have a feeling that my school isn't going to voluntarily tell me about this "law"... thanx

is this "labor standards act" korean? i brought this up to my boss as he's drafting my 2nd year contract this week, and he says there's no such thing... also, does this only apply for foreigners? my koworkers get no vacation time at all... i don't wanna push him too hard on this, but it would be nice to have extra days off stipulated in my new contract...

Lots of Koreans get shafted on Vacation because the boss says:

"You get 3 days of vacation. If you don't like, I will replace you."

Job Market sucks so people take the shaft on vacations.
