Hello!

I was wondering about people who are in this category where both people are working...who watches your kids while you work and how much do you pay for the services. I appreciate any info you can give me!

For two kids (6 mos and 4 years) from 1:30 - 9:00 we pay 800,000 a month. That is probably higher than the going rate but the woman is a close friend of my wife's family and she and her husband have become a third set of grandparents to our kids. Actually my son (the 4 yr old) goes to a kindergarten from 12:00 - 4:00 and then to the babysitter's house.

When we were sending only our son we were paying 450,000 for the same times.

That seems outrageous, closer to what they charge for daycare in the West. Our daughter goes from 2-5pm every day and once a week 2-8pm, and it's only 140,000 won.

But, of course, if you're happy with the care your kids get, that's of more significance than how much you're paying.
