Biggest derby in the world this weekend and ESPN have decided they are gonna show bloody Park Ji's crew against Everton...

Usually just get the games on my comp, but im off up to Seoul this weekend...

The game is live on Sky Sports back in England, with an 8:45pm (Korean time) kick off on Saturday evening.. Wondering if any of the bars in Seoul might have a channel with it on?!

Even better, anybody know anywhere that has Sky Sports in Seoul?!

Please help a desperate Geordie!

I think the previous poster was on about newcastle getting relegated.
Whitley Bay, Seaton Sluice, North Shields, Tynemouth - Ah the memories.

I used to work for Sky in a past life. The satellites that they use (ASTRA) are geostationary, meaning they stay in the same spot relative to the earth, and they spin at the same rate the globe turns. They are permanently stationed above Europe.

The satellites have what's called a footprint, an area where you can get perfect reception, with border areas where reception gets gradually poorer. Here's an image of the ASTRA footprint http://www.brittany-satellites.com/catalog/images/info/astramap2.jpg.

In addition, Sky have the rights to show sports in the UK only, so they use smartcards to attempt to limit the viewing to the UK only, even though the footprint covers Europe. You can make your own judgement on how successful this strategy is if you've ever been to any European holiday resort frequented by Brits.

So in answer to your question, no Korean bar will have Sky Sports.

However, given that the Premiership has a lot of prestige here, maybe you can see the matches you want on one of the Asian networks.

Go to Scrooged in Itaewon. They have M-Net, the South African satellite network and may show the game. As for the barcodes, enjoy the Championship next year.

Hollywoods are very accommodating usually, one game on tv and one streamed. Pretty good quality.
