Apparently they launched with Aussie and NZ servers. The games the were buggy out of the box and its had lots of issues.
I want to play this. I'm not into the MMORPG thing but played warhammer back in the day. It isn't released in Asia.
So anyone try it here yet? Servers let you in? Did you try American or AUS servers?
Don't want to be the first to take the plunge but happy to be the 2nd |

Is there any way to by the online downloadable version in Korea without going through a proxy server?
The EB boutique online download store keeps throwing me to its korean site with no WAR because of my IP. |

Have you tried downloading it from this site?
http://www.direct2drive.com/
You can try downloading the torrent iso and have a friend buy a copy from NA and email you the CD key.
Or you can try buy the CD key online and download it from another source.
Or you can buy the CDs from ebay.
I don't know anyone in Korea who plays the game yet.
I know someone in Europe who can log into a NA server though so I'm hoping it will work. |

For me, I'd rather hit the NZ/AUS servers despite being American. The ping to those would have to be a lot better. The NA downloads from what I understand don't let you hit these servers.
The AUS/NZ shipped with different stuff on the CD's. They had some big opening bug that screwed the install. They can play on their local servers AND US ones. I don't think US installs have that option of coming east to play. |

Well have been playing this game since the weekend on Oceanic servers and it is heaps of fun, the RvR is a really good feature and although the game is not entirely polished yet it still looks amazing. I think it will be a WOW killer in 3 months or so if they can polish it up. |

Currently I'm on the EU server cause you can download the game straight from the EU site. I had to order my US version... that'll let you play either US or Oceanic (Austrailia/Asia). So far I'm playing.. it's awesome...
Only gripe is there's that lack of "MMoRPG" community... that being the teamspeaks, long battles, etc. Actually.. everything from pVe quests and rvr stuff is very casual and you could play for 10-15 minutes and be quite satisfied playing.
Between two armies, you choose one (I chose Order). With Order, straight from the warhammer feel are Warrior Priests (healer/warrior hybrids), Bright Wizards (major damage output class), and Witch Hunter (haven't played, but they look like gunshooters from warhammer classic). Dwarves consist of Engineers that build turrets and guns that do massive damage... and i think two other classes. Elves have swordmasters (tanks of order), archmages (healers of order), some archer class.. and perhaps one more.
There are 4 tier'd instances. The first tier is for anyone level 1 through 10... and when I mean level 1, I mean you can log into the game and just play this first instance. When in RvR they balance your level so you don't get one shotted and so you can play rvr immediately without the grind. Again, only complaint is that lack of MMorpg feel... especially chatting and so forth |

Naw, there's a chat function, but I'm used to really talkative players on daoc (my first mmorpg). People chatted all the time. If people stuck around to do more quests, you ended up gaining friends. But because instances are so short, you don't really chat with people.. it's more like "move to flag A", "let's kill playerA", "gj".
They are paying close attention to feedback so they recently put in region chat.. which was quite successful in daoc. Game mechanics awesome... but it feels like i'm playing call of duty 4 with warhammer characters. i'm probably alone in this sentiment as many others love this game 100%. I love the game, but that's my one gripe. |
