I'm goin out alone because I don't much like the people I work with. Where should I go to have a good time? Not necessarily looking to get laid, and I'd rather not meet Americans and Canadians. I want to meet Koreans tonight.

So, Itaewon or Hongdae?

I always found Seoul Pub in Itaewon to be a good jumping off point when going out alone. Just stand at the bar, and you'll be talking to people within minutes.

You going to be alone? Koreans honestly don't see a lone foreigner and want you to join their group. Unless you look like Brad Pitt.

Don't speak Korean? Strike 2. Unless you want to go to a juicy bar in Itaewon where you get friendly company in return for buying 20,000 won drinks.

Your best bet is to get involved in clubs or groups with a mix of foreigners and Koreans.

But if you had to make a decision, I'd say Itaewon b/c girls are going to speak more English, yet you will run into a lot of westerners.

Oh, getting laid is a given. Just to expect anything classy. In fact, expect nothing but skanks.

I am pretty damn attractive to Koreans. I am told by many people that I am. I'm still kinda new to Seoul so I'm just going out to see what's up in this (in)famous Itaewon.

What I mean is that I'm not setting out to meet other waygook like myself. It will likely happen. I just want to meet some Koreans tonight.

That's the rule, but on a few occasions I've had Koreans invite me to join them. Only once a couple of Korean dudes asked me why I went to that place [GG] alone and I just replied "That's a South Korean hangup; I'm not South Korean!|
