I'm aware there's been a post about this earlier, but it wasn't particularly helpful - I couldn't access the site or they were offering classes but weren't offering an open studio.

I just need access to a pottery wheel and a kiln to fire it. I found a couple sites in Youju, but I'm looking for a place in Seoul, preferably in Hongdae.

Any input would be helpful.

I am looking for the same - well a bigger studio would be necessary for me (downtown seoul). I can't seem to explain "renting studio space" to anyone here but if you find anything please let me know. The other thread suggested looking for ads in local ceramics magazines....

i don't know if he is still in korea, but he is fluent in english and could certainly point you in a good direction if he isn't. he used to have an open studio. if you want to come down to bundang let me know. there are plenty of studios. i may have responded on the earlier thread. is there some reason you can't look in the potteyr magazine? theres only one. there are like 50 ads for studios throughout and in the back. should be something near you. yoju is way far away. you would find it easier to go to kwangju or icheon, both also major pottery towns on the same circuit, but closer.

oh yeah, and that dude above, his studio was in hongdae, thats why i recommend him. iwould be interested in hearing what kind of pottery both of you do if you would pm me. i like puncheong brushed white slip, onggi and the old asian glazes: tenmoku, chun, shino, ash glazes, etc.
