Welcome to Korea.
Check out some local Korean basketball games. Korean basketball ain't that bad. Search the web for locations and schedules.
Try Itaewon.
If you're American, you can take the USO DMZ Tour on Saturdays.
Leave's the USO office (Samgakji Station, exit 10) at 7am. Call in advance - 02 795-3063. 48,000 won.
Try Lotteworld - Chamshil & Seoulland amusement parks. 20-30,000 per day.

that's not true you don't need to be american to take the tour
Check out the palaces, go to some markets, maybe head away for a day or two.

LEAVE SEOUL-THERE'S MORE TO KOREA
Actually, you're fresh, so it's just a recommendation...There's a bazillion little things to do, and, more importantly, a trizalizatillion different restaurants at which to eat. |

I'd go down to the travel agency tomorrow morning (or the airport) and get the first airplane out of here for one week. Vacation and time off is few and far between. Everything in Korea you can see on the weekends. Having a week off to see another country is always difficult to do in life. |

You could go bird-watching if you don't mind the cold. The interesting migrants and winter visitors should be around now. |

Go down to your local PC bang and spend 48 hours straight playing Starcraft or whatever game is popular these days. That's what the koreans seem to like to do in Korea....
Seriously though, hop on a train and head south. Bus and train tickets are cheap. That and you can generally find a Yogwan for 20-30,000 a night...cheap way to see the country. |

Go to the national parks! Climb the mountains. Don't carry anything except a water bottle and a hat.
See the temples. Pretend that you're a skilled photographer and see if you can take some good shots.
Go to the museums.
Watch reruns of the Survivor finale. (Lill should have voted off Sandra).
Go to the bookstores. Get a novel and spend all day in your room reading it until you feel like crap.
Plan what you're going to do on Christmas day.
Hmmm... |
