I'm looking for an ISP. I hear that some of them, so long as you sign for several years (which I will be doing) offer significant free gifts etc and cash incentives. Has anyone had experience or is willing to recommend a provider. |

Stay away from C&M (Cable and More). They are at my apartment fixing our cable and internet at least once a month. |

Personally, TFT blows.
The TV goes loopy all the time, and the cable goes out almost every other day. It's frustrating to not even be able to check your own email and have to go down to the goddamn PC cafe every other night.
On the plus side... it's cheap. |

I signed with KT for a year. They gave me two months free in exchange for the year deal. (My first and 4th month were free). I'm really happy with them. I have excellent net speed (In the recent Dave's e-*beep* net speed contest, I believe I came out tops with 92Mbps on speedtest.net ) and have never had a single moment of down time in the 7 months I've been using them. I pay 33,600 a month, which for me is a great deal.
Only catch is, the English service is non-existant, so get a korean to call. |

I'm with Hanaro Telecom. Haven't had a speck of trouble in over a year, they upgraded me from 10 to 100 a little while back practically for free. My bill is 32'760won monthly. |

Is KT and KT Megapass the same?
Sorry, I'm a n00b and I'm trying to get Internet at my place.
I got quoted around 44K won per month for 100 speed!!!
I thought it was quite expensive...
The installation is free though, but they didn't offer any free months. Any other ISPs worth looking into?

I also have Hanaro Telecom. It's fast, and I haven't had any problems. Although this month my bill came in an envelope from "SK Broadband." Not sure if there was a merger or what... |

I've had KT megapass for a couple years. Very fast, mid 30,000 won per month. |

They're telling me that they're charging me more because I'm a foreigner and cannot guarantee my stay here or something along those lines. What should I do? |

I use KT, which is great, except that they have this annoying habit of shutting off my internet if I'm downloading a big torrent (generally > 8 or 9 GB)
I have to then reset my network adapter for it to work again. Which means I have to be around to periodically reset the router when I have a big file downloading. |
