What up y'all. Long time reader first time writer -- finally was able to get an account. I've been trying since like August, but registrations were always just around the next corner. Rolling Eyes

I'm relatively new to Korea, been here a few weeks, first time traveling. If you recall the horror story of the chick that moved here and got all her *bleep* stolen the fourth day in, from a locked apartment -- yeah, that's me.

Right now I'm out in Cheongpyeong, maybe an hour east of Seoul. I haven't been there myself yet, and this orientation map is... somewhat unhelpful. I understand everything after 'take exit #5 from Migeum Station, Bundang Yellow Line', and getting the courtesy buses to the venue from there -- but how do I even get that far from Cheongpyeong?!

I know there's some buses out to Seoul, the 1330 ones, but where they go, and how to move on from there, I'm a bit lost. This is my first time traveling and I'm from a cow town in the US, so I went to a small town here so I wouldn't be overwhelmed. So much for getting away from that, eh Rolling Eyes

The buses leave for Seoul every 20 min.

Just get a ticket and say "Seoul, Gangbeon" They will understand. That is the closest, East Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. It is on the green line. When you get the ticket, stand out by the only bus stop / line. Follow the rest of the people. The bus will be coming from your left, proceeding to your right.

About an hour ride, if that. From there take line 2 across the river and read the subway map to find the yellow line.......should be self evident from here on in.

Enjoy.

PS> There might be a bus directly from Cheongpeong to Bundang - you'll have to ask that one....

To clarify, I think the previous poster is saying to go to Gangbyeon. Gangbyeon is the subway station, not a bus terminal. You might want to go to Dong Seoul bus terminal (say "Dong Seoul" Dong=East).

Go to Jamsil and transfer at Jamsil, only 2 stops. Take the pink line 8 to Bokjeong (6 stops), and you can transfer at Moran to the yellow Bundang line (3 stops). Migeum station is 6 more stops.

If you prefer 1 hour on a cheaper city bus, good luck. Hopefully that isn't your only choice. I hate those buses. I got to take one every morning, but for only 10 minutes.

I'll take knowing where the crap I'm going over a cheaper stop any day of the week. Very Happy Thanks for all the help, guys. My co-teacher (wonderfully helpful) gave me some detailed instructions that were very similar. Combining the two, I'm pretty sure where I'm going now.

And if you're going -- see you there!

So, is Wenise Kim gone for good? Or is she "gone for a few months" like Dain Bae told everyone at orientation? Does Dain Bae really work for 14 hours every day? Lee Ha-rim is now in charge?
