I saw this in the other forum as well and am curious what the news is. It would be strange if he died right before the November election in the US.
It seems as though we may have a few very important announcements in the next few days. The question is: will it make a big difference in the outcome of the election? If you are right and he's dead, I'm not sure it changes things that much right away. |

He just seen out and about somewhere the other day. Maybe one of his impersonators?
Anyway, I suspect it's more about naming his successor than that KJI is dead. Or maybe they are announcing Sun Myung Moon managed to resurrect Kim Il Sung. |

correction, they have photo of KJI being "out and about" though the CIA thinks the photos are old because the foliage seen in them isnt right for the time of the year. |

I'm still banking on this being the news of the demise of Kim Jong Ill. With the three big stories in the US today being about the campaign (Powell's endorsement, Obama's fundraising numbers) and the huge crowds at the rallies in St. Louis and Kansas City, this may be the icing on the cake if it's true. |

Why would this make a big difference in the US election?
Or any difference in fact? |

I agree, it probably wouldn't, unless one of the candidates plays the story in such a way so as to call his own credibility into question. Like for example if Obama says something like "I'm happy to see that North Korea has new leadership that will bring that country forward into a democratic future", and then the Norks elevate some uber-stalinist hack who immediately fires a loaded warhead at Tokyo. Not that any of that is likely to happen. |

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just the announcing they are cutting off political ties with South Korea. Wasn't this hinted at earlier in the week? |

I heard they threatened it because some South Koreans sent some leaflets over to them via balloon.
They'd have to be mad to do this though surely? Theyre fucked as it is. |

No way that they admit that their "great", "dear" or whatever leader is dead. No way they show that weakness. They would prop his mummified and decaying corpse upright and would have generals next to him. The shades would help pull it off because you can't see his eyes. They could position his arm(despite the rigor mortis setting in) so that he is pointing or doing something. It would truly be great if this *beep* is dead, but I don't think we get that lucky. |

If he ever dies, I am sure someone will come along to take his place. They'll do a ouija board. |

It is not nice to speak dead of the Il. |

Sure they would. They didnt hide Kim Il Sungs death
MY guess is the reason North Korea is banning all foreigners beginning monday is so they can "Mourn" his death. |
