For those who have got a job at a university language department, what did you write about in your cover letter? Also, what kind of English do you teach them? General English or English for Academic Purposes? We get a lot of EAP jobs going in England now at the universities here due to the influx of foreign students, but I guess the EAP they teach here is different as the students have to go to lectures in English. Over there it would be in Korean, so what sort of tasks/lessons do you do?

I have seen a job going which has a music department at the university and as I am a music graduate myself as well as an English teacher, I thought I would stand a chance to get in. Would this help my chances do you think or would it be totally irrelevant?
