I've been trying to send a fax to America for weeks now, and it won't go through. My boss is actually doing the faxing, so maybe he's screwing things up. I'm also sending it to the American government, so perhaps it's bureaucracy getting in my way again. Either way, I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

What do I put before the actual fax number? Right now, I'm dialing this:

001-1-(area code)-phone number

Is that right?

Try 001- (area code)-(number)

And if that doesn't work, 1-(area code)-(number)
