I've heard that there is a muay thai gym near Geumjeong Station. Does anyone have any info on this place? I've searched Dave's but I've only been able to confirm it exists. |

Yep, there is a muay thai gym there (at least there was one a year ago). I worked out there for a couple months. You can see it from the subway platform. Its in a building on the corner on the fourth floor. Its an open gym, meaning no classes. Come and go when you want. I think its around 80,000 per month. For the workout, start with jump roping, then stretching, then shadow boxing, then bag work. At some point, you will get pulled aside to work the Thai pads. Maybe once or twice a month the group will spar. If you are a beginner, he might have a more structured lesson for you to follow for the first month or two. When I was there, the instructor wasn't big on teaching. If your just looking for a place to work out then its a good place. |
