I read a bit of it. It is written in the same manner as the shakri New Age writers do. They give very, very little, if any, information on an actual science of hypnosis. It is mumbo jumbo.
Obama is a very good speaker. Not only that, he is bloody intelligent. You can tell that he is because of the live debates. Importantly, what he says doesn't inspire fear. There aren't any threats in his language. Take that against Bush's 'with us or against us,' which decidely sought to divide and conquer.
Juxtapose Obama's thought with Palin's - she speaks in absolute mumbo jumbo that seeks merely to encourage some kind of emotional vote (a kind of hypnosis if you ask me,) and with McCain who tries to trick the public with supposed facts, then he trips over them. |

The cadence and tone of speech can have a hypnotic effect on people.
I've heard MLK's recorded "I have dream" speech numerous times.
I have also heard other people deliver that same speech.
I have to say I am much more effected by the original than by any other attempt at speaking those same words.
John Kennedy's inspirational "Man on the Moon" address is another, though I've never heard another person make this address, still there is a tone and cadence that lend much to it's inspiration.
There are other examples (Winston Churchill, Adolph Hitler, Nelson Mandela) in history where the Orators voice was maybe more important than the words.
Yes, I think Obama is one of those voices of history becoming. |

The 2004 Democratic Speech of Obama will certainly go down in history. I get goosebumps just listening to it....'we are not a red America or a blue America...we are a UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...we are not a white america or a black America...we are a UNITED STATES OF AMERICA'...that was witnessing history, and I think people who saw that, noticed it right away.
The RACE speech was another historical moment of history. He was knocked up against the wall, race had become an issue, and it looked like to ignore it or undermine it or to even address it would kill him. He was sunk. Then this amazing race speech, and bam, hit out of the park. That will also go down in history as one of his best speeches at such a key critical moment.
We need a man like that as President of the United States. |

This sounds like something that should have been posted by one of our resident conspiracy theorists. Maybe they were abducted by aliens and are unable to. |
