I want to make effective use of YMGA's new song from the oldie of Taylor Dayne: "Tell it to my heart"by showing them both. And emphasizing the original.
Here's the new Korean remixed: http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=DIq5YK6Aow4
Heres the good old 80's: http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=T5oSpQDerps
Here's a sample of the lyrics:
Though we keep holding on.
I dont want to lose, no I cant let you go.
Tell it to my heart.
Tell me Im the only one.
Is this really love or just a game?
Tell it to my heart.
My issue is, the song has very little english learning value. What's a good way to maximize the learning while using both songs? I was thinking of having them translate it (korean to englihs? or english to korean?). And then, have the whole class sing it.
EDIT: I was thinking of having all the lyrics in Korean. And having them race to translate it and the winner gets a prize (probably choco pie). I could play the song in the background so they will listen hard for the words. |
