I have to teach small groups 4 or 5 while the rest of the class (20-25) do "something". The school suggested I find a video they could watch. So, I tried looking for an edumacational video and realized there was no way I could get it here in Korea. My co-teacher tried to help me by going to Kyobo's site, but all I know is what I see on the cover. It's not like a book in a bookstore that I can flip through.

Does anybody know of 2 or 3 DVDs we could get to fill in the time until students come for a lesson?

Get the Tom and Jerry Collection on any major torrent site. Great animation and few words.

Kim & Johnson's bookstore.

They carry a lot ESL books and other materials not made in Korea. You can definitely find some educational DVD's there.

There are a few located around Seoul, and they probably have a website for ordering online. Just ask your coteacher, she should know about it.

If it is any help, we have hundreds/thousands of videos on EFL Classroom 2.0. Just click WATCH and A/V. All are downloadable, just click the arrow beside each. All hand picked for being "EFL friendly". All the main Mr. Bean ones are there. Download and burn a Cd. There you go. But you might have them watch a few of the series like Family album U.S.A. or even better, Extra English (find on our site map http://eflclassroom.com/directory1.html ).

Cheers,

DD

youtube has lots of clips from Sesame Street and Electric Company as well as School House Rock. Maybe you could make a cd of them?
