|

Hi.. Tried the search function for the answer to my query, but you know.. Anyway, last Feb I stayed in a pension/hotel near the airport in Bangkok. I got the recommendation from a kind and thoughtful dave's poster. The place was nice, comfy, and quite affordable. I moved in August and have lost/misplaced the contact info and the NAME of this establishment... Also, I can't find anything on the net about it... It's something like.. Suwanawan Palace (?!) and it's about a 25 min taxi ride from the airport.. Nice people, too... SOOO... can anyone refresh my memory with the name of the place and/or contact info? THANKS a bunch... |

Finally, a question I can answer! Have a look at a page I put together. Hotels near the Airport.
The place you mention is probably Sanawan Palace which is the first link. Queen's Garden is quite popular as well.[/url] |

I'll second the Queen's Garden recommendation. Nice temple across a little footbridge behind the place too. |

It's Ramkhamhaeng Road 24 (Rajamangala Stadium). Also has a connection to Rama 9 road which brings u in 20 minutes to the airport. Don't make an online reservation or u pay more. It's 800 Baht the night. And close to it is ABAC university with some bars where u find people speakin English.
