So I like to keep my floors clean, and back in Canada all I do is take a bucket (or the sink), fill it up with hot water, and pour in a little Mr. Clean (or a generic version of it), and mop away.

But in Korea, I have no clue what brand or type of liquid cleaner to use. Does anyone know of a Korean equivalent to Mr. Clean?

Mr. Clean is basically a disinfectant cleaner that you mix with water (like 1/2 cup for 8 litres of water). Most people seem to use it primarly for washing floors.

THe"foreign food mart" in Itaewon sells "Pine Sol", but in a pinch I use bleach, 25% bleach to 75% warer. Keep your windows open a bit. note: No matter how ofter (like ever day) I clean my floors the rags still get filthy.

I used a Korean product that did not work well.

I have also used toilet bowl cleaner.

I usually use a mix of bathroom/ tile cleaner and dish soap in the hot water to wash the floor... seems to do a pretty good job. OP, I know, I was looking for Mr Clean when I first arrived, and eventually just gave up on it.

Oxyclean (this is NOT the product with the same name sold in N. America) or Homestar.

I use homestar (green spray bottle) on the bathroom walls, toilet, floor, fixtures... and wow... that's some great stuff!

For floors... haven't found a Korean product I like. I buy Pine Sol. Usually have to pay extra for it at a waygook market somewhere. Not sure if Costco has it or not.

Surely there must be something good Koreans use.

Tremendous thanks for all of the replies, it's been something I've wanted to figure out for the last three years. I'll have to check out Costco the next time I'm there, but some of those Korean products sound promising.

Vinegar and water works. It doesn't end up smelling like nasty perfumes, but it still works. Wink
