|
|
Just been informed by The Man that a cafe meetup is being planned somewhere in Seoul or Busan for the 25th of October. As tickets are being limited to nationality it is recommend that you state your preference for style of location and locality before an official decision is made.
Tickets are free to the first couple of thousand attendees but you aren't guaranteed a place, so hurry up please and state where/what/who/why/when/how you'd like to attend. |

That means I'm drunk and trying to be funny. All the same, I for one would go to a meetup. Anybody else? |

25th might be fun. Big kotesol conference that weekend so there'll likely be a few regular posters from out in the provinces in town. |

A couple thousand Dave's posters in one place. Think about that for a minute. |

I'll go only if I don't have a date that night.
...
I'll be there.
As for meeting places, I suggest the Rainbow bar in Kangnam. It's central and everyone knows where it is. |

I never did make it to one of these events before. I'd be interested. Seoul would be great. Just not Itaewon or Hongdae, please. |

It's a hookah bar. Very comfortable. It's behind Tehran street on one of the side streets with a lot of restaurants.

Last time I went to a Dave's thing the motto was "let's get as drunk as humanly possible in Hongdae". I think going somewhere else would be cool, and giving people the option to get drunk in Hongdae if they wanted to afterwards instead of making the whole gathering around the premise of consuming alcohol |

If it was in Busan, I would probably go. That being said, I have yet to venture to Seoul. I might go up there that weekend anyway. |

Yes, let's do it in Gangnam. Rainbow Bar directions:
Get off at Gangnam Station exit 6...walk straight (there will be a Body Shop on your left and you will pass it...). You want to make a left at the street that is between Giordano and Pascucci Cafe. Make your second right and Rainbow Bar is on the right hand side across from some galbi places.
You can also take the bus to Kyobo Tower Sagori, cross the street to the side Lush is on, and then take the street between Giordano and Pascucci Cafe...follow same directions to get to Rainbow Bar. |
