from your location obviously you don't live in the neighbourhood, so there you have a moot point

yeah, people get too drunk and walk into traffic -

this needs a bigger better venue - or shut down a street and just have a block party or something -

there really needs to be better venues in general for non-korean musicians - not everyone enjoys sitting in a smoke-filled room just to enjoy live music

Well, if you don't like the tourists, then just do what the Parisians do~ leave town! Laughing

Hoping that everyone has a fun time! The music element is free so it's not like your putting down a cover charge or anything. Have fun!

I'm sure this festival won't last long...
if the foreigner residents aren't all that pleased think about the Koreans..
there is going to be a major issue at this festival, with a big fight soon..
blocking traffic, bitching to the cops, giving the locals a hard time, and most people buying their beer at the store instead of supporting the bars that are putting it on?
plus the fact that the organisers take money from the bars, alot of the artists turn up late and wasted, and that the promotion is shite makes for a festival that people want to sponsor??

This festival is gonna be great!! bad bands? hardly. I know a bunch of these acts pretty well from living and performing in and around Seoul, so talent won't be short here. It's my first time playing this festival, so I'm excited.

as for the drunks and the trash, I can't comment. but the music is sure to be good! hope to see a lot of people out for this.

You make a good point about the trash, smokeyness and blocking traffic. I'll grant you that, it does suck and is something that really needs to be resolved. The same problem is found in the Hong dae area, etc.

Concerning musicians~ each one is different: Some arrive sober and on time; others, drunk and late; and still others, somewhere in the middle. You can't overgeneralise.

BTW, my comment on Parisiens is simply stating that many leave town in the Summer tourist season. (I wasn't telling you to take a hike. Smile )

Hoping that you enjoy the Festival.

i'm just disappointed that there are no electric guitars or drumsets in any of the pics. i'm sure the bands are good, but calling it a 'ROK' festival is misleading.

A couple of the hosts are comedians and believe will be doing some stand-up.

There is a drum kit in the VFW and lots of rockolla going down there. I don't know about photos. It might have more to do with lighting and flash-photography, I'm not certain. You can go and take some and send them in, if you want to. I'm sure that they'll be put up.

Hoping to see you all there!

lived there back when they were doing it four times a year. way to assume that anyone who doesn't have hbc listed as their location has never lived there. brilliant! moot point my ass. you're likely one of the many complainers up around there, sulking in a dark corner over your beer.

the line-up does look a little weak though.
