We all love going to coffee shops watching all these cute girls indulge in an hour of selca. It's a fun ritual to watch and I haven't seen it anywhere else in the world.
And while riding the subway, there nothing more tranquil than watching all these lovely girls, with their tiny mirrors, putting on make up in front of everybody.
Korean girls are the best! |

Selca? Self Camera-ing?
I'm in awe of anyone who can put on makeup in public. I get embarrassed if someone catches me looking in a mirror or even if I wear makeup (on those rare occasions) and someone says, "Hey, nice lipstick!" Maybe its just a weird New England shame thing.
Its strange how people can be so self confident about something like acting lovely in public but then so embarrassed to speak a word of English in class. Maybe teachers need to play up an "English is cute" angle. |

Selca is another wonderful Konglish invention.
Self + Camera. Most cell phone providers use "Selca" as a selling point these days. |
