|
|
I bought Counter Strike Source at the weekend after seeing it in a shop and remembering my wasted youth.
I am finding it impossible to install however. The installer simply stops responding as soon as I click the install button. Anybody else has this problem? Any suggestions? I'm slightly annoyed as the laptop is only three days old... |

Do you have steam already, or is that what you're trying to install?
You need steam first before anything. If you don't have it it's probably on the CD, but if not go to steampowered.com and download/install.
Also tell us what error you're getting, if any. |

I bought the actual boxed physical copy from Homeplus.
I'll try downloading steam to see if that changes anything. There is no error message, but the initial screen which appears with autoplay gets stuck as soon as you click install.
Thanks for the steam suggestion, will give that a try. |

you have to have steam to be able to play cs...although i thought the cd wouldve installed that as well.
Also, if your cd doesnt work, thru steam click add game by cd key, and it will download it for you... |

Maybe the CD does install it, who knows. I'll try downloading it anyway and see if I have more luck that way.
Thanks for the advice. |
