An Objectivist club is going to start in Korea soon, with meetings held in Seoul. The purpose of the group will be to help members gain a deeper understanding of Objectivism through discussion and study of philosophical materials. A second purpose will be to encourage and promote activism on issues important to group members. Other goals include simply enjoying intellectual conversation and enjoyment of like-minded individuals.

Can I show up just to argue with you guys? I read Atlas Shrugged awhile back and I'm still bitter for time I lost during that endeavor. |

The club will seek individuals already in agreement with Objectivism who wish to study it further. In other words, it will not serve as a forum for people entirely unfamiliar with, or opposed to Objectivist principles. Members will be encouraged to promote Objectivism to non-Objectivists, but the meetings themselves will be restricted to members as such. |
Evangelical philosophers? You're going to give the rest of us a bad name....
Besides, she's more of a economic ideologue than a philosopher. There's a reason her work is rarely if ever even brought up in a meaningful philosophical discussion...
I'd be interested in a philosophical discussion group, but one that touches on a lot more than just one idea/person/ideology. |

Yeah right, like I'd take philosophical advice from a woman. |

Any political ideology that names itself "objectivist," "realist," etc, is obviously full of it. |

I read Atlas Shrugged to help me go to sleep. I must have read the first 40 or 50 pages, 40 or 50 times. |

Protip: You're not in college anymore. Grow the *beep* up.
I mean, seriously, look around you. This whole banking crisis, even Alan Greenspans admission that he was wrong on "trickle down" and undertaxing corporations, pretty much ends objectivism. It's a dead philosophy. Move on. |
