I remember all the restaurants being overpriced and greasy.
I think I saw a Burger King or MacDonalds there... |

I would assume that if the park is open, all the restaurants will be open as well. |

Plenty of restaurants in the Small village at the foot of Everland. Personally, I wouldn't eat AT Everland unless it was free. |

Spending your Christmas at Everland is a lonely thing to do. You should really get out of this country during Christmas or else you are going to feel like a penguin wandering the desert. |

Anything that looks fancy is not what it appears to be based on what such a similar looking place is in the West. This goes for places like marble hotels, theme parks, and high class looking veneer on the surface of anything, because service is sub par in these sorts of uncommon places and there's usually another reason for such places that is very different than what the Westernized surface conveys to us.
Look for practical everyday kind of places instead of special fancy hotels and theme parks for an experience that requires good employees doing a good job.
If single and alone, what about going to Itaewon? Seems like you can easily be accepted, chat with people, and enjoy Western style. While it looks tacky on the outside, it's our little America or collage of many other countries within Korea where you'll mostly likely say, "Merry Christmas, " to other single dudes and dudettes that just happen to be here by themselves. I know most of you who live there or go there a lot take it for granted and think negatively of it, but those of us who only go on occasion, we appreciate the break Itaewon offes. |
