have any of you worked for Avalon in Mokdong? Have hard they`re one of the better hagwons if you can say that.Would appreciate any views good or bad.

I`ve done a search but it`s mainly other branches that come up.

I have worked at Avalon for the last year and have to say that I have been pretty happy. I don't work in Mokdong though. That campus is brand new. Avalon overall is a good company to work for. You won't have to deal with the typical BS from the shaddy hogwans like not getting paid on time, no insurance or no pension being paid. Since I have worked here I have gotten everything including a few bonuses. The down side is that it is a big school so if you have a particular question about something you might not always get a straight answer. Also, they have team building exercises twice a year which are usually on a Saturday that are mandatory.

As for Mokdong the area is really cool and right down town. You will be very close by taxi or subway to the more hip areas for expats. If you are looking to stay here for just a year and want a cool area to hang out in and a place to meet lots of other expats I would say take it. Best of luck to ya!
