Hey.
I need some bridge work done. I'm in the Daegu area, but I don't think that the guys in the Myeongdeok area have much mandolin experience. I'm more than willing to travel up to Seoul to get this done. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

I'm afraid you can't get too picky, even in Seoul. There simply aren't enough mandolins in Korea to allow any luthier a great deal of experience. A good guitar , or violin repair person should be able to do just fine with a mando bridge adjustment.

Thanks for the replies. I figured that might be the case. Can anyone who has had guitar or violin work done in Korea recommend someone they've had good a good experience with?
Oh, and the modern mandolin came about in late 18th century Italy. 16th century London would have had different members of the lute family. |
