|
|
My school has a budget to remodel or purchase some new items for our English classrooms. They've asked me for some suggestions, and among other things, one thing I would like would be those small individual white boards for students.
While I'm sure the school can purchase them from a school-supply store, I was wondering if there was a particular place that someone recommends that sells good quality ones that will stand some wear and tear and won't lose their finish or stain quickly.
Alternatively, I've been reading about using shower boards to make the portable whiteboards. Apparently this is much much cheaper, but the instructions "Go to Home Depot and ask for them to cut it for you..." doesn't work in Korea. Is there someplace comparable to Home Depot where they could do this? I think having a large cache of whiteboards kept in a secure location would be nice.
As a side note, is there anything else that might be good to include on the wish list of stuff to buy? |

Costco has 'em in various sizes.
You can also find them at various office stores all across Seoul. Maybe LINK-O in COEX Mall at Samsung Station on the green line.
Where are you located? |

| I've seen some small whiteboards at Daiso stores and at Homeplus. |

Umm, take a piece of white paper and run it through the laminating (coating) machine. You can easily make one for each student. |

Oops, my computer went down and I couldn't check this thread again after I posted it.
I've thought about laminating a piece of white paper and just using that. However, laminated paper is too flexible and easy to bend or crease. Once that happens, kids stop treating them well, and their eventual destruction is assured. I'd like something that would last longer.
bassexpander: I live on Jeju, so a bit far from Seoul
But we do have a Homeplus here. I'll check it out.
I was hoping to get them made at a remodelling or a hardware store, but pre-made ones in are store would be Ok too. |
