I was wondering if anybody knows any good games for counting large numbers? Last week I noticed that many of my students (middle school) had problems counting with numbers past 100, and this week I was going to do some practice with counting. Any fun game ideas that would be appropriate for middle schoolers? |

I'd go with Deal or No Deal.... students really get a lot of practice with the numbers and it is fun! Play half the class against the other half. One half represents the banker/MC and reads out the numbers and asks questions - Deal or No Deal?
Play like the TV game. Change roles and the other half of the class has to try and beat the amount of money the first half acquired....
We have it on PPT on EFL Classroom 2.0 (my own), Look under Resources/Share - ppt games... but even better, if you have a stable internet connection at school is the version in our Arcade. Click PLAY - Arcade... enjoy! If you are in the arcade, show your students the Spiderman game - they'll love that one!
