I have a quad band phone unlocked. Is it worth bringing over or will I still need to buy a phone in Korea?

If it is a GSM phone, then you will have to sign up with a "Roaming" partner in Korea and pay astronomical rates.

If you think you can just stick a Korean SIM card into a non-Korena phone, then its NOT GOING TO WORK.
