Hey im coming to teach in Korea and I heard that you generally get paid more if you work further from Seoul and Busan?

Is it worth working further away to save more money?

It's about 200,000 Korean won more. That comes up to $133 at the current U$ exchange rant, oops, I mean rate.

Robot advises you to base your positional decision on what type of lifestyle you want. Do you like lots of neon lights with many options for interacting with people of all walks of life (and possibility of many cool new friends) or do you life sleepy small town of old people all by yourself? It's a $133 question in financial terms, but priceless in lifestyle. Either way, you'll have plenty of internet. If you like good beer and familiar looking new friends go to Seoul. If you like being alone and going on solo bike rides without worrying about traffic, go Gangwondo. Well there are actually many more variables than that. Research before investing in a security. You get the gist.

I work at a uni out in the sticks and get paid a bit more than those in Seoul (according to the ads on Daves). And, I usually escape on weekends to Seoul on the weekends, spending my money but during the week, you actually have to make an effort to spend money. There's just nothing to do around here less than a 30 minute bus ride away. So overall...I think I'm saving a lot more than the average person in Seoul!
