I'm thinking they might mean "cuban heels" which doesn't make it much better:

I'm too hung over to come up with some witty quip, but seriously, wtf?!? I'm sure those shoes will go well with the scoop-neck sweater and silk scarf for the fall season.

I seen a young guy wearing a pair of unusual shoes last weekend. They were shiny black patent vinyl pointed flats that made his feet look really long, but where low heeled pumps like lady shoes. They were obviously designed for men, but a very feminent style it is.

About 250 to 400 years ago in Europe, men of high social status wore much of what we would consider lady's formal attire such as high heels and pleated poofy satiny attire with heavy fancy jewelry. Men actually invented and started this sort of thing that the ladies then took up for the past 200 to 300 years while men started wearing suits and low heels.

It appears Asia has been having a renaissance during the past decade due to all the new wealth being generated.

Does this mean they're taking their cues from their girlfriends or from Kim Jong Il? Confused

Hungover on a Thursday? Yet another alcoholic foreigner.

I came into class today a bit hungover as well, and my trainees commented to me that I'm becoming more Korean since I drank on a week night. They also commented on my 'soju eyes' (소주눈) so with a term like that somehow I don't think it's only foreigners drinking on week nights.

article wrote:
Of course, these men's high-heeled shoes have square soles and look anything but stilettos

The article is a pretty big hackjob, it admits that the shoes look nothing like stilettos, uses provocative misleading title, accompanied by an illustration of a guy wearing stilettos.

Older Korean men are shrimps but anyone under 35 is quite tall. I can't see this being a trend among young men, to add height. I mean they might like how it makes their calves look more graceful.
