OK, I may be the only person who does not know this, but;

When I see the posting "bump", what does it mean?

It means that someone wants to put the thread closer to the top so that it doesn't get lost on the second page. They are bumping it up.

Whenever someone posts in it a thread goes to the top of the page. If someone wants the thread to get more attention they "bump" it to the top, often just writing *bump*
