I FedEx'd my paperwork required to obtain a visa application number to my new employer. They actually received it on Monday. How long does it typically take if I have all my documents in order? I am awaiting my visa to arrive in Korea and was wondering how long it has taken in the past.
Also, have any of you had to travel across several states here in the USA to meet with the consulate to get your stamp? I see that the consulate in my region is over 700 miles away.
On a side note....have any of you utilized FedEx lately? It was over $85 to FedEx a document to SK!
Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

Prioity/express mail from the post office is 1/2 the price and just as fast.
It typically takes about a week (4-7) working days) for a number to be processed (depending on the office) AFTER the documents arrive in the immigration office. (Longer in Feb and July/Aug. because of high volume).
ADD to that 1-5 WORKING days to get from the recruiter to the school and school to immigration.

The Consulates offer webcam interviews for those deemed too far away. I assume 700 miles would qualify you. I would call them and ask. |
