nowhere!

i took my 2 weeks leave in July, so the school insists that I sit at school every day throughout the holiday, even when there is no winter camp and none of the students will come to school

they want me to write lesson plans and create "English games" for them in that time

Crying or Very sad

Bali

Maybe Guam too. (My excuse of getting a western perspective)

Would be nice to go to Florida or Hawaii, but my weak Korean won will only make an expensive place even more so very expensive. I think $100+ a night for a room, $10 beers, and $20 to $50 for each meal is over my spending budget unless on an executive income. That is how expensive a Western vacation really is. Rooms can easily top $60+ in non touristy areas where everyone drives cars so I will camp, fish, and BBQ when I do America again. It's a good thing that many of the best destinations in the world are not over priced such as Thailand, but costs are significantly rising all across the board. I wouldn't even care about rising costs if my pay was going up instead of down!

It's a toss up between southern China and the southern Phillipines for me right now...Boracay sounds pretty good, but I've never been to China either, so I'm thinking maybe Shanghai and some of the other smaller cities around there.

I'm mostly concerned with 'bang-for-the-buck' at this point, as in how much hotel and food and inter-city travel I can do. Really, I'd rather go to Japan, but the won of today doth not allow.

Guam Cool Dec 25th-Jan 4th

Six days of laying on the beach, swimming, snorkeling, maybe some scuba diving or fishing, followed by New Year's partying and then three days of shopping.

i already went to china and japan.

even taiwan was over 600,000won, the prices are outrageously ridiculous! i'm so pissed, i'm going to save my money for when i finish my contract and go to all those places by train and boat..

What is the process of going to China? Im thinking to take a trip to Shanghai, but I don't know what kind of Visa/papers I need to prepare. I'm on a D4 with multiple entry permits. Also, what is the cheapest way to get there?

You need to get a visa in advance. Go to a Chinese embassy or consulate and give them your passport, some money and some forms, they'll mail your passport back with a visa in it.

You can go by ferry from Incheon to a town a short train ride from Beijing, I think it was like 60k won a couple years ago.
