|
|
I have a notebook with a 13"screen and a 22"LCD attached to it.
I want to play Civilization 4 on the big screen, not the little one. Whenever I launch the game it starts on the little screen.. I can't make it go into a window and drag it over.. is there any other way I can move it?? I did try setting my big monitor as my primary display but that didn't work (it simply didn't let me do it, it just reverted to the notebook screen as being the primary display.)
Is there anything I can do? It happens with quite a lot of games actually.. |

There should be a Function+ Monitor type switch (usually F keys) that shuts down the main laptop screen and makes the external output the default. Mine has this. |

If you are using XP or Vista......
Click on Control Panel
Click on Appearance and Personalization
Click on Display Settings
Click on Advanced Settings
If you have an Intel Integrated Graphics then you should have a graphics Media Accelerator option in your advanced options at the top in the tabs area.
Click on it then click on Graphic Properties
When you have the monitor connected to your laptop, you should be able to click on the type of operating mode you wish to use. From there it is simple. You can use a clone mode where the display on your laptop is the same as your monitor, or you can drag items over to your monitor from your laptop screen in the dual display mode. PM me if you need more help.
