Hey. So I bought a used cell phone from someone on this forum who was a teacher.

Teacher here.
I will be leaving the country in the middle of November and will be sellling two cell phones before I leave.

They are both under one year old and can still be bought in the country (so they are still stylish and HIP you know?) haha

One is a black LG phone
the other is a black Samsung phone

they both come with chargers..and I will be cancelling my pay as you go contract so you can grab the phone off me and start using it immediatly!

So I bought the phone. It is a black shaw phone. I initially took it to SK telecom to set it up for pay and talk. No dice. So I take it to the Shaw office in Technomart. There was a major language barrier, but she was trying to explain to me something about WCDA vs the other kind.. i forget the letters now but they are similar. What I was getting from her was that I can't use this phone for pay and talk? Does this make any sense? Can someone help a cellphone noob out as the seller isn't replying to any of my messages? Thanks.

If your phone is video call capable then it can't be used as a prepay.
