| Just got word that SMOE's requiring winter camp to run three weeks this year instead of two. Anyone else get the bad news? |

Camps have traditionally been 3 weeks long, but there is not length stated in your contract. The length will be up to you principal or district supervisor.
If you are at the end of your contract, SMOE must give you all of our vacation before the contract ends. If you have only have time for a short camp, even a 3 day camp, for example, you only work a 3 day camp in order to start your vacation on time. SMOE has and will back teachers up on this despite the whining of school staff. |

My school was planning a 3 week camp with 2 other schools, but one of the schools dropped out so apparently we're doing a 2 week camp being put together by the district...
Should have booked my vacation time to coinside with the camp  lol... |
