You're not in Kansas anymore. Did you notice in the Summer time how the Sun was always down before 8PM? This is because Korea doesn't push ahead 1 hour to give us an extra hour of light during the warm months. |

Just to let you know, American Thanksgiving is not a holiday in Korea. You will have to go to work that day.
Don't say nobody told you. |

After laughing at this thread yesterday, I unwillingly got screwed over by DST too. My work computer is in English, which has more disadvantages than advantages. Sometime yesterday, I think while I was out at lunch, it reset to Daylight Savings Time, moving one hour earlier. So at 7:30 when I left, I was surprised to find every other clock said 8:30, meaning I stayed an hour later.
Stupid English computer. |

My computer is from the U.S. it works on Korean time. As far as I know, your computer will show your local time, so if someone looks at their computer they can tell what time it is, and if there's daylight savings time in the country in which they're residing. I didn't know about daylight savings time until I called again yesterday. I read about it on the news on the internet, but I didn't pay attention. Some countries use DST, but I am not sure if they use it at the same time. I know, for example, Egypt uses DST. |

Because you're an adult and you shouldn't need anyone to hold your hand and make sure you get where you're supposed to be.
didn't you go to any portal on the net like Yahoo or MSN? They all had big stories about DST on the main pages all day.

I would say more of "stupid computer user" for not checking other clocks. Don't have a watch? Also, you are the one who set it to do that when configuring it at set-up (unless someone else set it up). |

You can set it to use Daylight Savings or not. I'm not surprised about the auto-setting, so much as I'm surprised you didn't notice you had stayed a whole hour later. |

I fixed it easily, now that I know it was a problem, but why would I ever suspect it would be set up that way? And no, I don't wear a watch. This is the 21st century.
This computer was set up by my employers sometime around two months ago, a month before I started here. If it were up to me, it would be on Korean settings, particularly language. |

What is daylight savings time? Whatever it is, in this time of fiscal crisis, I am going to save as much as I can! |
