The happiest woman alive celebrating Obama's win is Hillary Clinton.

Please, post it in one of the ten already extant Obama threads.

I would think that she would be saddest person alive.

At least if McCain had won, Hillary could run for president again in 4 years.

Now, unless she wants to take her chances going up against Obama again, she'll need to wait 8 years.

I like what he said after claiming victory. He's talking about bringing the people together to face the hardship challenges and transform America into the land of opportunities. And he states that if we do fall instead of rise, we all fall togethor, not just main street falling while Wall street guys are laughing all the way to the bank. Watching Obama talk gets me emotional and it does millions of the roughly 148 million voter turnout. That's a great voter turnout. I'm impressed that the process of democracy happened for the 1st time in so many many years. Times are changing...

YAY! Bushonomics is a dead failed concept....It's a definitely a new day for the USA

Shocked So this process didn't happen in 2004 (or for that matter 2006)? May want to call it a night and lay off the champagne.

You know when I hear Barak Obama's name I think of that WWE wrestler "The Rock". Do you remember that wrestler? Anyway, I am sure Hillary wanted to be president, but her party won very big and her friends are going to be in power, and it's over for Bush. She also campaigned for him. I don't think she is going to dwell over this so much. She might have another opportunity. Obama was very good competition and Hillary worked very hard. If she can somehow work on her image some more who knows what she can do.

I am so, so, so, so glad that Bush is going. I just think it's insane that he was elected twice. It almost feels like America is back with Bush going.
I will be glad to be coming back to America in 2009 and feeling I am coming to an America that once was there and has returned, not this crazy nightmare of an America that we've seen under Bush.

However, it may be a rough ride, because America has many problems.

I am just not sorry to see Bush go. I am sorry for him that he has such a horrible legacy, but he took the job, though he knew nothing about foreign affairs and had no federal experience.

I was glad George Junior won in 2000-not so much the last time, but people knew what they were voting for.

Well, I did not support George Bush in 2000, because I knew 1)Al Gore was a vice president and, thus, had more experience. 2)Al Gore seemed rather articulate, while George Bush was often stumbling when speaking.
3)Bush knew very little about foreign affairs and other countries and about economics. 4)He pandered to the Christian right. I just thought he was a disaster waiting to happen back in 2000.

I also warned about going into in Iraq a year before it happened, because I felt that the Bush Administration was going in that direction, and I knew it was dangerous. As far as Iran, it is a problem, but they also have major financial problems. They are vulnerable in certain areas and about to have an election.

I think it's interesting that McCain talked about how Obama had little experinece, but Bush had little experience as well, and McCain chose someone with as much experience and knowledge as Bush did. In both cases there was a focus on pandering to rural folks who are extremely religious rather than to people who are knowledgeable, articulate which was the case with JFK, FDR, George Bush senior, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan etc......
