I thought some people might be interested in this.

The Democrats Abroad ROK invite all Obama supporters to attend an election returns party at the Orange Tree in Haebangcheon on Nov. 5 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. to watch ``history being made,'' according to a media release

Democrats Abroad ROK is the official branch of the Democratic Party in Korea. Membership continues to grow daily, and all who wish to join are welcome and should get in touch via e-mail to [email protected]

To get to the Orange Tree, leave exit 2 of Noksapyeong Station, line 6. Walk straight down the road until you reach the first intersection where the road veers off to the left, by the kimchi pots. Walk up that road approximately five minutes. The Orange Tree is on your right, on the second floor, above Indigo restaurant. For more information, write to [email protected],

I'm going to try to go in the afternoon.

CC,

Good deal. I'd be there as well, except all my classes are in the afternoon on Wednesday and I live a good distance from where it is being held. I'd bet it will be a rowdy party.

I'm guessing most of the results (and excitement) will start at around 1:00?

As Milwaukiedave posted, most of the battleground states polls will close by around 11 AM Korea time. I think if we see an Obama win, it'll happen around lunchtime in Korea. If McCain pulls it out, I think we'll know about it later since he has to take a few states in the West to do it.

Also, if anyone is interested...

The Republicans Abroad ROK will be holding a seminar for "how to deal with failure", followed by cyanide pills and Tang for lunch. We expect to have a reasonably large turn out this year, with a maximum of three people.

No, they'll be planning for 2010 and senate/house seat elections.

When Americans elect Obama, and start asking him exactly what he meant by "change", he'd better produce, or they'll turn a lot of house/senate seats over to Republicans in 2010.

Look at LMB's landslide, and now how everyone hates him. Same can happen.

Palin 2012! Laughing
I hope so much that happens. More than the Republicans wanted Hilary to run.
