What can anyone tell me about this agency. I've spoken with them on several occasions and they seem excellent. Has anyone had an experience with them |

I would highly recommend against them. They are completely unprofessional.
My brother e-mailed them. He submitted all of the necessary information, and truthfully. He truthfully told them he has not gone to University.
They offered him a job in Korea, same as any of us. So what happens when he can't get a visa? He gets his ass deported.
It sure seems that Spyder Recruiting is just looking to make a quick buck, and they don't really care about the well being of a teacher that they place in a school. |

If your credentials and teaching ability are up to snuff, I bet there's nothing to worry about with a company like Spyder. I will just choose not to deal with someone who is so desperate for business like them.
I would also avoid New Bridge Recruiting. Due to a friend and I, there will be a website about them very soon, similar to Prisoner of Wonderland. |

Hey you............
Its me....some more advice for you since you still seem a little lost.
1. If you insist on a recruiter, like im sure another has said, stick with one, until you have got what you want.
2. I think its better to get a recruiter based in korea, and in the city you are going to.
3. Pick how you want to work....do you want a 3-9, a 10-6, do you want to work in seoul, pusan or kwangju, (SEOUL ).....narrow it down for them and then its easier for you.
4. ALso remember that many of us have been here for years and still somtimes get screwed. Coming staight from canada into a new job, city, and housing situation is going to be different......get as much info as possible.
5. No matter how much research you do, there is still a possibility of getting screwed being unhappy etc......but its so easy to reverse it here.
6. Its as easy as getting on a plane and going back home.
7. Or going to japan and returning 4 hours later.
8. Once your settled and stuff here anyway you will have friends and stuff that will be more than willing to lend you some floor space or job tips, if you find yourself in an icky situation....DON"T WORRY
9. ANd remember, have a little more faith in korea. I have had 4 contracts here, mostly six month ones and only one has been bad, and it was my third.......
Relax, narrow down your search, bitch until you get it, and pack your bags and hope all will be ok. If not, its so easy to get out of a bad situation.
good luck.
